The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657) went into effect January 1, 2012. This law requires large retailers and manufacturers that do business in the state of California, to be transparent about the efforts they have undertaken to eradicate Slavery and Human Trafficking in their supply chain.
In Mocean Group (IMG) operates in an ethical and socially responsible manner to bring retailers and customers outstanding swimwear design and quality.
IMG has implemented policies designed to ensure the absence of slavery and human trafficking, including forced labor or child labor, in our supply chain. To this end, we have developed a Supplier Code of Conduct that all suppliers are required to follow. Our Supplier Code of Conduct prohibits the use of child or forced labor and discrimination in employment. IMG’s social compliance program also includes verification of our product supply chain by means of announced and unannounced audits of our suppliers’ facilities by independent third-party auditors and IMG personnel to evaluate compliance with IMG’s policies against human trafficking and forced labor. All IMG suppliers are required to certify that materials used in the production of IMG products comply with applicable employment and human rights laws.
IMG expects all suppliers to act in an ethical and socially responsible manner and to comply with IMG’s Supplier Code of Conduct. Should a supplier, sub-contractor, sub-supplier or service provider fail to meet IMG’s standards, appropriate and timely corrective action shall be implemented. Failure to do so can result in the cancellation of contracts and/or termination of the business relationship.
IMG is committed to social responsibility and conducts internal training focused on ethical sourcing, manufacturing and labor practices.
